Gulfstream Park featured in Road to Kentucky Handicapping Contest Saturday with Florida Derby

First post and contest entry deadline at 10:30 a.m.

The featured track this week in the free-to-enter weekly contest series that runs each Saturday through Kentucky Derby Day is Gulfstream Park and the Florida Derby. Weekly and overall prizes are awarded throughout the 16-week event. The Arkansas Derby from Oaklawn is an added bonus race.

Here are the Road to Kentucky rules, schedule and results.

The Derby preps are getting serious as the final major races will be run over the next two weekends. Be in the Canterbury Racebook to bet on all the action.

Racebook opens at 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

Bet On Yourself in R2K

Earn extra cash with your Road to Kentucky entry. Submit a $10 entry fee to Bet on Yourself and compete for a prize pool consisting of all entry fees collected on the day of each contest with the winner being determined by the highest score recorded by an entrant in that day’s Road to Kentucky Handicapping Contest .

Of the players entered each date, the entire pool of entry fees collected that day will be paid as the prize pool to the entrant with the highest score. The winner also receives one 2023 Handicapper of the Year point.

Bob Kelly, with the third best overall R2K score, had top score in Bet on Yourself and scooped $330 last weekend.

You Want In Super Satellites

 

Every Thursday – Saturday through May 6.

• $10 Entry Fee for each contest day. Players may enter three times per week.

• Select one horse in each of eight contest races. Points awarded based on a mythical $20 across the board wager.

• One player for every 10 entries from each super satellite session will win a $100 entry into the You Want In Satellite Contest on May 13.
