Get your game ready for the Fall Poker Classic (FPC), which returns to Canterbury Park from September 30 through October 15.
Featuring more than 30 events and prizes totaling over $1.5 million, the Fall Poker Classic is the Midwest’s premier series of tournaments. Back this year is the $2,500 High Roller event, as well as H.O.R.S.E., Win the Button, Tag Team, Ladies and Seniors tournaments. Most FPC events are No-Limit Hold’em.
The Fall Poker Classic officially begins 11 AM Saturday, September 30, with a $340 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em event. There is also a $125 NLH event during a Kick-off Party set for 6:30 PM Friday, September 29. Share your stories on social media using the hashtag #FPC17.

6-Handed Double-Up SNG Satellites:
Available daily throughout the Fall Poker Classic: 4 PM – Midnight
$65 to $565 Buy-ins. Win cash! Sign-up at the Poker Board. Buy-in at the Poker table.
1-table, 6 handed, 3 winners in each SNG.
Play begins whenever 6 players are ready to play.
FPC Event Rules:
Players must register with an MVP Rewards Card to play in any tournament.
Must be 18 to play at Canterbury Park. Valid ID required.
Late entry and unlimited re-entry accepted during the registration period.
11 AM & Noon Start Daytime Events (NLH, Omaha-8 & H.O.R.S.E.):
Buy-ins 180/235/340/550-Late registration and unlimited re-entry through 6 levels. Starting chips and level lengths dependent on buy-in amount. See structure flyer for details.
Seniors NLH: (Oct. 2)
Players age 50 and older only. (Must show ID.)
H.O.R.S.E.: (Oct. 5-6)
2-day event. Day-1 plays down to the final 8 players. Day-2 plays on 10/6 at 2 PM.
Championship Main Event NLH: (Oct. 14-16)
Day 1A & 1B offer late registration and unlimited re-entry through first 8 levels of play on both 1A & 1B. (End-of-dinner break ~6:20 PM).
“Best Stack Forward” = Players may play both flights and advance their biggest chip stack. If player bags chips from both flights the smaller chip stack will be forfeited and taken out of play.
Day 1A & 1B flights will both play 16 levels. Day 1= 40 min levels, Day 2= 50 min levels.
Prize pool payouts: Payouts will be posted before the start of Day 2 play on Oct. 15 at 2 PM.
4:00 PM Start 6-Max NLH & Limit Hold’em:
Registration and unlimited re-entry through 8 levels. See structure flyer for starting chips and level lengths.
High Roller NLH: (Oct. 7-8)
2-day event. 4:00 PM start on both days.
Late registration and unlimited re-entry available through first 6 levels (50 Min levels) on day-1.
10% of entrants will be awarded prize pool payouts.
6:30 PM Bonus Events (NLH, Bounty, Win the Button & Big-O):
Registration and unlimited re-entry through 8 levels. (20 min levels)
$5 Staff Add-on available for extra chips.
Win the Button: (Oct. 6)
When a player wins the main pot they are awarded the button for the next hand.
If the main pot is chopped the button will be awarded to the pot winner in worst position in relation to the button’s current position.
There will always be a small blind and a big blind to the left of the button.
The blinds will always be adjusted to the position of the button. This may result in the same players being the blinds multiple hands in a row.
When combining or balancing tables every player will be dealt in immediately and have any blind obligation based on their position to the button. This may result in players being the blind multiple hands in a row.
In heads-up play the button is also the small blind.
Tag-Team NLH: (Oct. 5)
2 players per team. $250 buy-in per team. Initial registration together at cashier.
Optional re-entry=$125 per player.
Both players may purchase Staff Add-on= $5 per player.
Late registration and unlimited re-entry through 8 levels. (20 min levels)
Rules of the game: Each player plays at separate tables until stacks are combined at the close of registration. Players then tag out and alternate play on each level.
Ladies NLH: (Oct. 9)
This is a Ladies event, but if the men want to play they may- >> Men’s buy-in =$1100
$5 Staff Add-on available.
Championship Main Event 20% Super Satellites:
$260 Buy-in NLH: Oct. 11, 12, 13 @ 6:30 PM – Top 20% Win 1100 Lammers
Registration opens at 4 PM on the day of the event.
Late registration and unlimited re-entry through 4 levels (30 min levels, end of first break)
Payout is in the form of Tournament Buy-in Lammers.
Buy-in includes $5 Staff Appreciation.
Optional $5 Staff Add-on available.
Staff Appreciation withheld from each Event Prize Pool:
$125-$340 Buy-ins= 4%
$140-$260 Super Satellites=$5 per buy-in
Optional $5 Staff Appreciation Add-on:
6:30 PM Bonus Events & Super Satellites offer optional $5 Staff Add-on for additional chips.
