This Saturday in the Canterbury Park Racebook the Road to Kentucky Handicapping Contest continues with racing from Oaklawn
The free-to-enter contest series that runs each Saturday through Kentucky Derby Day is underway. Weekly and overall prizes are awarded throughout the 16-week event. Get ‘capping and get to the Racebook for your chance at cash prizes.

This week’s contest centers around Oaklawn Park and the 11 races including the double-point Southwest Stakes, an important Kentucky Derby prep. First post and entry deadline is set for noon.

Think your Road to Kentucky score will be competitive? Then back it up in the Bet On Yourself in R2K Contest each week. Bet On Yourself in R2K is a series of single-day contests held each Saturday of Road to Kentucky where you submit a $10 entry fee and compete for a prize pool consisting of all entry fees collected on the day of each contest with the winner being determined by the highest score recorded by an entrant in that day’s Road to Kentucky Handicapping Contest .
Of the players entered each date, the entire pool of entry fees collected that day will be paid as the prize pool to the entrant with the highest score. The winner also receives one 2023 Handicapper of the Year point.
Congrats to Week 1 winner of R2K Joseph Madison who won $200 in prize money for finishing first in week 1. Had he entered Bet On Yourself in R2K he would have won an additional $270. Instead, Greg O’Brien swept the Bet On Yourself pool with the 28th best score of the week. Twenty-seven others passed on a chance to capitalize on their opinion.

Spring Tune-Up Super Satellites

Win an entry to the Spring Tune-Up Satellite Contest on March 25, 2023
• $10 Entry Fee for each contest day. Players may enter three times per week.
Players may enter more than once per day. Players may play in up to three $10 Super Satellite contests each week choosing from Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday with the highest individual score from each three-day contest period determining the winner. Three selected tracks (eight races at each track) are offered each Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday. Players can enter three contests in one day (no more than one entry per track per day) if they so choose but total entries for a contest week cannot exceed three. Each entry is $10 per contest track with a limit of three per week.
• Select one horse in each of eight contest races. Points awarded based on a mythical $20 across the board wager.
• One player for every 14 entries from each super satellite session will
win a $140 entry into the Spring Tune-Up Satellite Contest on March 25, 2023
