Handicapper of the Year Far From Decided

Shaun Rau won the weekly NHC Qualifier Super Satellite last weekend, earning an entry to the Dec. 19 final contest but also one Handicapper of the Year point which gives him the lead over Ron Hafner and Josh Taarud. Ray Hassan is two behind Rau with Rick Dahl, Pamela Kight and Dean Carleton all three points back.

With a point awarded each week in the NHC Super, another for the overall best score come Dec. 12, In The Money Contest beginning Nov. 16, and a special Crack the Cup Breeders’ Cup Contest Nov. 6 and 7 that awards a total of three points, there is ample opportunity for any player within range. The Handicapper of the Year is awarded to the player that earns the most points via handicapping contests that run throughout the year. These contests include the pay-to-enter events but also the free contest like the Road to Kentucky weekly marathon. The winner receives $2,000.  The next session of the NHC Qualifier Super Satellites begins Thursday.
