The featured track this week in the free-to-enter weekly contest series that runs each Saturday through Kentucky Derby Day is Gulfstream Park. Weekly and overall prizes are awarded throughout the 16-week event.
Gulfstream Park has 12 races in all. This week there are no Kentucky Derby prep races but to keep the contest going we selected a track that will have a good mix of turf, dirt and all-weather surface racing including a pair of stakes.

Bet On Yourself in R2K
Think your Road to Kentucky score will be competitive? Then back it up in the Bet On Yourself in R2K Contest each week. Bet On Yourself in R2K is a series of single-day contests held each Saturday of Road to Kentucky where you submit a $10 entry fee and compete for a prize pool consisting of all entry fees collected on the day of each contest with the winner being determined by the highest score recorded by an entrant in that day’s Road to Kentucky Handicapping Contest .
Of the players entered each date, the entire pool of entry fees collected that day will be paid as the prize pool to the entrant with the highest score. The winner also receives one 2023 Handicapper of the Year point.
Congrats to Inocente Martinez who won Week 8 of R2k earning $200 in prize money for finishing first. Tim Neis finished second in R2K and won $150. Tim also played Bet On Yourself and won an additional $260. Here are the Bet On Yourself rules.
Final week of Spring Tune-Up Super Satellites

• $10 Entry Fee for each contest day. Players may enter three times per week.
Players may enter more than once per day. Players may play in up to three $10 Super Satellite contests each week choosing from Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday with the highest individual score from each three-day contest period determining the winner. Three selected tracks (eight races at each track) are offered each Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday. Players can enter three contests in one day (no more than one entry per track per day) if they so choose but total entries for a contest week cannot exceed 0
• Select one horse in each of eight contest races. Points awarded based on a mythical $20 across the board wager.
• One player for every 14 entries from each super satellite session will
win a $140 entry into the Spring Tune-Up Satellite Contest on March 25, 2023
Cash bonus for player with highest individual score in the contest span.
Spring Tune-Up Satellite Contest

Win entries to the 27th annual Dog Days of Summer Handicapping Tournament that will award berths to the 2024 National Horseplayers Championship.
• $140 entry fee: $100 is entry fee and $40 is live bankroll
• Players will make a total of 10 $2 win/place wagers during the contest on designated contest tracks and races.
• This is live money so there are no price caps. Remaining bankroll returned at conclusion of contest.
