Canterbury Park held its NHC Qualifier contest Saturday.
Bruce Meyer, Dave Handeland, and Mike Ferrozzo all played but were not able to finish in the top two and win an entry to the 2017 NHC.
The winners, Robin Burns and Matt Kasowicz, will both be making their first trip to NHC. Robin, who has played in contests at Canterbury but never an NHC qualifying event, won with a final bankroll of $120, well ahead of the rest of the field.
There will be contests each week that qualify players to Canterbury’s September NHC contests.
