Amphitheater

Coming to Shakopee, Minnesota in 2025 is the largest outdoor constructed music venue in Minnesota with capacity for 19,000 fans. The venue will be just a short walk from Canterbury Park racetrack and casino. This state of the art outdoor facility is expected to attract 45 shows per year featuring the country’s top acts and artists. Canterbury’s land sale of 37.5 acres for $8.8 million to Swervo Development led to the ground breaking in the fall of 2023.

Artessa Canterbury Crossing

Boardwalk Kitchen & Bar

The Boardwalk Kitchen & Bar and Stable Event Center is a new restaurant situated immediately adjacent to the racing track between our 7-furlong Chute and 6-furlong chute. The 16,000 sf project will have dramatic views of racing and year round music and events in the stable building. The new restaurant will open in the Spring of 2025

Mr. Pig Stuff

The Shakopee Planning Commission recommended approval of a new 9,600-square-foot commercial building within the Canterbury development area. Mr. Pig Stuff is the tenant of the proposed 4,400-square-foot restaurant and 1,050-square-foot patio space. The restaurant is expected to open mid-2024.

Office Building in Winners Circle Development

Situated in our Winners Circle Development a 2 story 28,000 sf new office building broke ground in construction in November of 2024. The project is anticipated to be open mid-2025. A 2nd floor tenant has been secured and space is being marketed on the first floor.

Trackside Development

The Trackside Development construction began in summer of 2024 and will include new development opportunity fronting our racing surface. The master planning for this area will include new development with pedestrian connections for Boardwalk Kitchen and Bar, Winners Circle Development, Canterbury Park Grandstand and TBD uses.

Triple Crown Residences at Canterbury Phase II
