Jockey Nik Goodwin was injured on Sunday when his horse in the third race, Piccolini, stumbled and then fell in the stretch.
According to Goodwin’s agent, Jesse Lomeli, Goodwin suffered a broken collarbone from the fall and will likely be sidelined for about six weeks. He was released from the hospital late last night.
Piccolini quickly righted herself after the fall and walked off the track under her own power.
