The tournament:
The You Want In Satellite Handicapping Contest is a one-day handicapping contest. Winner(s) will be awarded a $2,000 contest entry to September NHC/BCBC Qualifier..
Total cost per entry is $100.
Contest play begins no earlier than 1 pm central time.
Format:
Players will select one horse in each of 10 designated simulcast races and will earn points based on a mythical $20 across the board wager. Entries, with all selections, must be submitted prior to the first contest race. No changes are permitted after the contest begins.
Points are capped as follows: 600 win; 400 place; 200 show. All selections must be submitted prior to post time of the first contest race. Entrants will receive the post time favorite should a scratch occur. Final score totals determine prizes.
Order of contest finish will be determined by final score and prizes will be awarded as follows:
One player for each 20 entries will win $2,000 contest entry.
Cash from additional entry fees not included in assigned value of entry credits will be paid as follows:
1st) 50 percent
2nd) 30 percent
3rd) 20 percent
1-20 entries: one winner of $2,000 entry
21-39 entries: one winner of $2,000 contest entry with additional entry fees divided as above.
40 entries: two winners of $2,000 contest entry.
41-59 entries: two winners of $2,000 contest entry with additional entry fees divided as above.
60 entries: three winners of $2,000 contest entry.
Additional entries totals will be paid in the same manner.
Canterbury Handicapper of the Year Points: winner: 3 points; 2nd: 2 points; 3rd: 1 point
No player may have more than five entries.
