Huge scores in last week’s Road to Kentucky contest. Congrats to top scorer Eric Hjelmeland who amassed 2,216 points…… This weekend’s venue is Tampa Bay Downs.
The Blood-Horse recently ran a feature on MN owner Cam Casby. You can find it online at Bloodhorse.com. Cam has had her share of success in this business and continutes to support racing at Canterbury Park…………….and it is PARK (see the Blood-Horse story)…. I have always maintained that it doesn’t matter what they say about you as long as they get your name right. We haven’t been Canterbury Downs for more than a decade. They don’t call Turfway Park Latonia anymore, or Philly Park Keystone Racetrack. So please drop the Downs already.
Hamazing Destiny, owned by Eden Prairie’s Barry Butzow, debuted at Oaklawn on Saturday. This 3-year-old colt ran up the score, winning by 10 1/2 effortless lengths. The word was out as the price was low. See Rampellini’s DRF story here.
