Jockey agent Richard Grunder and rider Derek Bell have parted ways after nine seasons together. Bell captured the riding title six times with Grunder representing him: 2000 – 2001, 2003 – 2004, and 2007 – 2008. Bell was second in ’02 and ’05, and fourth in an injury shortened ’06 season.
Grunder, currently serving as race caller at Tampa Bay Downs, will book the services of Adolpho Morales and Dylan Williams this season at Canterbury Park.
Bell will return as well; possibly with Chad Anderson as his agent.
