- Canterbury Hall of Fame jockey Scott Stevens is approaching a career milestone of 4,000 all-breed victories. Scott’s career began in 1976. Thoroughbreds have accounted for the majority of his wins, 3,841, but he also has quarter horse wins. His total entering the Saturday card is 3,994.
- Impressive MN bred winner Bet Your Boots is entered in the five furlong $50,000 Prairie Gold Juvenile tonight in Iowa. The son of Birdstone won here by 17 lengths in his second career start for trainer Troy Bethke. Paul Nolan will ride tonight. They have drawn post 5 in an eight horse field.
