Local horse player and accomplished tournament player Mike Ferrozzo competed in the 2015 National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas last month. With more than 600 entries in all, Ferrozzo made his way into the top 50 and eventually to the final table of 10 where he earned $50,000 in prize money.

Canterbury Park will offer two NHC qualifying contests this September that will award four entries. September 11 is the Ultimate NHC Qualifier and Sept. 12-13 is the annual Dog Days of Summer Handicapping Contest. Play $10 Super Satellites that feed to an April 4 satellite and then to the September contests beginning February 19.
