Sunday, June 29, 2014 marked the inaugural Leg Up Fund event at Canterbury Park. The Leg Up Fund is designed to assist injured jockeys that ride at Canterbury Park.
All proceeds raised during the inaugural event benefitted long-time Canterbury Park rider Anne Von Rosen who was paralyzed in an accident at Turf Paradise Racetrack in March and has been accruing ongoing and onerous medical expense.
The day’s activities for the Leg Up Fund included Silent Auction, Raffle, jockey Sumo Wrestling, Dunk Tank, and Walk with the Jockeys.
