Juan Rodriguez – Minnesota HBPA Groom of the Week

Minnesota HBPA Groom of the Week presented by Bravis Craft Mexican Kitchen and Luro Boots

Each Thursday the Minnesota HBPA honors a groom that exemplifies the craft. Grooms are the backbone of racing, caring for the equine athletes. Much of their work goes unseen and largely unappreciated by the general public. Grooms are hands-on daily with the horses and a good groom makes a huge difference for a successful trainer.

This week the Minnesota HBPA honors Juan Rodriguez. He will be recognized Thursday following race one in a winner’s circle presentation.

Though he’s good with all horses, according to trainer Joe B. Roberts, Juan works especially well with young horses.

In all, Juan oversees the care of six horses. Roberts says that Juan’s horses are always clean and fit. This talented groom also does a very good job organizing the shedrow.

Congratulations to Juan Rodriguez, the Minnesota HBPA Groom of the Week.

A groom will be recognized each Thursday during the meet and will receive gifts from the Minnesota HBPA, and sponsors Bravis Craft Mexican Kitchen and Luro Boots.
