The jockey colony looks quite similar to last season with eight of the top 10 riders returning. Derek Bell, six-time leading rider, is back and will be handled by agent Chad Anderson who also books the mounts of Canterbury Hall of Famer Scott Stevens.

Other riders include Dean Butler, Jose Bettencourt (sidelined for another week with a shoulder injury), Paul Nolan, Jordan Olesiak, Nik Goodwin, Juan Rivera, and Andrew Erwin.

Agent Richard Grunder has Adolpho Morales and Dylan Williams.

Anne Von Rosen is back as well after a successful Turf Paradise meet. Ry Eikleberry won the Turf Paradise riding title. He was QH champ here last summer, setting a single season win record.

New faces: Luis Medina. Most recently he rode at Will Rogers Downs and will be represented here by Barb Noll.

Jose Ferrer, an accomplished journeyman, will ride here this summer. He has hired Pete Antonucci as his agent. Ferrer has won 3,582 races in a career that began in 1982 and has taken him up and down the eastern seaboard and to the Midwest as well. Ferrer has ridden 24,648 races with purse earnings of $56,719,489.
