Race 1: ORTS DREAM raced against allowance horses last summer now drops to the claiming ranks. Showed speed before tiring against better on an off track in her seasonal debut. AKSARBEN SUMMER broke her maiden in last at Tampa Bay against open company. WEE MS. BURNZIE is a grinder that likes to pick up checks, and she could be the last horse running.

Race 2: TWO BY TWO figured things out at the end of the 2020 Canterbury meet winning two in a row. SKIPPY’S STRIKE returns to the Canterbury turf following a couple of nice runs at Tampa Bay. SO ALIVE returns after a long layoff but when this horse was right last year, he ran some nice figures.

Race 3: PEAK OF CHIC takes a huge plunge in class as she exits maiden special weights and drops to maiden claiming. Showed some early foot in debut and might go wire to wire. MEDALLA MATCH hasn’t shown much in first two but also drops from maiden special weights. WINNING MANDATE showed speed in debut at Oaklawn but regressed in last.

Race 4: DREAMING BIZ Popped first time off the layoff last year. Hoping for similar result today. TANTIMA was close in all three grass starts last year and gets a great post to save ground. IMMINENT THREAT could be pace dependent because of her style but if she gets a hot pace, she’ll be flying late.

Race 5: WYOMING CONQUEST takes a drop in claiming price after racing at Oaklawn this winter/spring. Has enough tactical speed to challenge from the outside post. CINCO CATALINA has shown some early foot in a couple of races and Broberg is always a threat in claiming races. SHOW BUSINESS has not been close in his last 12 but a barn switch could be the key

Race 6: BERRY GOOD has had two sprint and now stretches out for this daughter of Declaration of War. Well bred for the turf and raced against better at Oaklawn. FADED MEMORIES has picked up many checks but has yet to cross the wire first. EMERALDS R US is racing on the turf and in a route for the first time.

Race 7: D C HERO broke his maiden at this tricky distance. Third off the layoff and first with Stuart could translate to a major improvement. DARE FELIX appears to have the best early speed. The question is, can he hold it for the entire race after a long layoff? KIERKEGAARD is bred by a good turf sprint sire and might just need a return to the lawn.

Race 8: REDOUX drops in half in claiming price and has some recency. As a three-year-old, still has some upside against a field of mostly older. JOSIE BOY takes a huge drop in class from maiden special weights to bottom maiden claiming. IZZY IN A TIZZY turns back in distance and his speed figures are in the ballpark.

Race 9: DICKEY BOB has won $200K and 11 for 17 at Canterbury. Outside post only adds to his appeal. WESTERN RESERVE has the 12 time Champion Quarter Horse Trainer in his corner. CORONA WHITE SOCKS had a couple of wins at Canterbury and a prep at Remington.

Race 10: QUEEN OF DA NORT had a couple of nice races to start her career before going off form. A winter off to mature may be what she needed. MOONIN THE CLASS was knocking on the door last year for Olmstead. Does she knock down that door today? FAVORITE GRAMMA ran some impressive speed figures last year but gets the tough rail post.
