Race 1: SNEAKY DIANNE comes off a win at Sam Houston and has the best recent form in a group searching for a confidence builder. Y NOT SIZZLE is running for Diodoro and the ownership group of Empire Racing Stables and that combination is really heating up. MEMORABLE ANGEL has been showing keen speed early but hitting a wall late.
Race 2: RING LEADER faced the best three-year-old fillies in the country last year. Return sprinting and to a level she will appreciate. HARKING loves to visit the winners circle having won six of thirteen in her career. ARIZONA SUN was racing against stakes horses recently at Turf Paradise albeit against state breds.
Race 3: BUCKYS PICK has back class on the turf having accumulated $139K on the weeds. OUTRUN THE POSSE might have needed his last race on the turf. Returns on short rest, a much better post and possible lone speed. BORN FORCE has three wins on the Canterbury turf but prefers marathons.
Race 4: APPROVED was claimed last out and Diodoro is always dangerous after the claim hitting a nice 25%. PURELY POLITICAL was close a couple of times at Turf Paradise but needs to find that extra something to get to the line first. VIX VISION has a big heart and always tries but now faces open company after beating up on Oklahoma breds last fall.
Race 5: DRAMA CHORUS has the controlling speed and is racing third off the layoff after two sprints. SAMYAZA is well bred for the lawn and should continue to improve for the Robertson/Canchari team. COASTAL WATERS ran well at Turfway this winter and gets the one hole on the turf.
Race 6: ALOTTA SOUL will try to regain her 2019 form after a tough 2020 at Canterbury. Bravo fires at 24% off a long layoff and gets leading rider Eikleberry aboard. PEARLE DE VEENE was somewhat competitive at this level last summer and her only win did come at Canterbury. KILBARRY LADY keeps dropping down the claiming ladder. This may be her right level.
Race 7: WHERE’D THE DAY GO beat the second pick to break his maiden. Has every right to improve off the one prep race at Hawthorne. CARAMEL ANGEL has two wins on the turf including a victory at Canterbury. KID’S INHERITANCE is bred to run on the lawn but needs to progress from 2 years old to 3, which is a natural progression.
Race 8: PRETTI TA KELA ran a very nice race to break her maiden last summer, then caught an off track in the Northern Lights. If she matured over the winter, she could be the one. TEMUJIN LADY caught a very sloppy track in her seasonal debut. Can easily toss that race and anticipate an improved effort today. ROZEY CHEEKS beat some nice horses in her career debut. Guessing Bravo will have her cranked up first of the bench.
