Race 1: CANADIAN GAME has not won in his previous four turf starts but should get a pocket trip behind the speed horses on the outside and pick up the pieces late. IM A COWBOY TOO is the morning line favorite and will be formidable if the speed collapses. UNLEASH THE BEST will be dangerous if he’s loose on the lead.

Race 2: PAROLEE appears to be in the best form right now in a race with many question marks. FLASH ATTACK caught a sloppy track last out at Oaklawn and may show improvement on a dry surface. SHARP ART has caught a muddy track in four of his past five races. The fast track effort was easily his best of the five.

Race 3: TALKIN MALICE has only raced six times in a race full of starters that have had many chances. Should get a perfect trip and will be running at the end. JIMMIE T has the speed to shake loose and could get brave on the front end. HOLY MUCHACHO drops in class but needs a fast pace to help his closing kick.

Race 4: HIERONYMUS will be saddled by the 2020 Eclipse Award winner for Outstanding Trainer, Brad Cox. TUT’S REVENGE is four for four at this distance and loves the Canterbury sod. TWO EMMYS ran a huge race last out in a Grade 2 event at 24-1 while only losing by 1½ lengths.

Race 5: RING LEADER will be winging it on the front end with Canchari for a filly that is bred to like the turf and love the distance. AFTER RED SUN caught a tough post in a stakes race last out at Sam Houston. BEACH FLOWER has banked $120K on the Canterbury lawn and is always capable.

Race 6: DRENA’S STAR has a ton of early speed and will need to use it while breaking from the rail. Catch if catch can. CHESS MASTER loves this distance and could be heard from at a price. SHANNON C has speed and is always prominent early and gets back to her preferred surface.

Race 7: HERBIE should have things to himself on the front-end as this hard knocking veteran tries to break through for the first time in 2021. THETRAILERGUY has back class but is dependent on a fast pace to set-up his closing style. CIMPL MAN has never won on the dirt but is dropping to the lowest claiming level, which should provide some relief.

Race 8: RUBY’S RED DEVIL’s sire produces 16% wins for first-time starters. J J’S WILDCAT has speed and the rail and improved as the summer progressed last year. VIVO broke slowly in all three starts as a two-year-old. If Bravo can correct that issue, could be a contender.

Race 9: SUPER CONSTITUTION battled for the lead last out with a salty group of optional claimers at Oaklawn. MARKET ANALYSIS faltered when racing in the mud in his last after a long layoff but expecting a better effort today. LOUIS LE GRANDE seems to like routing better than sprinting and stretches out today.
