After watching the intense hotdog eating contest, and the Dachshunds dashing to victory in the final Weiner dog heat, two stakes races were run on Saturday. The $50,000 Northbound Pride, restricted to 3-year-old thoroughbred fillies, went to Sirrah for trainer Mike Biehler. Stolis Kool Chick won the $51,650 Grade 3 Northlands Futurity with Ry Eikleberry aboard for leading trainer, Ed Ross Hardy.
