The annual Road to Kentucky Handicapping Contest (R2K) begins on Saturday, February 7. This contest is a true test of your handicapping ability and best of all it is free to enter and offers prize money. Weekly winners get cash and points accumulate over the series with more money and prizes awarded to the most consistent. Derby season is upon us….
…. as is handicapping tournament season. In addition to the R2K contest, there is a $10 super satellite offered on the R2K contest track each Saturday. Win that and you play in a $100 satellite. Win that and it is on to the July 25 Claiming Crown Ultimate. The top three players go to Las Vegas in Jan. 2010 and play for a million dollars. This seems like a long and winding road but it can be done. Last year The Oracle won a $10 super, a $100 satellite, and finished third in the Claiming Crown Ultimate, for $8,000 in cash and a trip to the recently concluded National Handicapping Championship.
