Dan Patch Book Signing Announced

From Media Relations

The legend of Dan Patch is known far and wide, but a significant part of the intriguing story took place in Savage, MN, just a stone’s throw away from Shakopee. Savage will hold its annual Dan Patch Days June 19 – June 22. In conjunction, Canterbury Park is proud to announce a book signing on June 21 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. when Charles Leerhsen will sign copies of his new book Crazy Good at the Shakopee, MN track.

Charles Leerhsen is an executive editor at Sports Illustrated. He has written about sports and culture for Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Esquire, The New York Times, and People, as well as SI. A native of the Bronx, he now lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Sarah. In Crazy Good, Leerhsen recounts some of the many legends of Dan Patch, and exposes some of the legends as false.

Rachel Blount, of the Star Tribune, has written a comprehensive review of Crazy Good. Click here to read her review found in the June 8th edition of the Star Tribune.
