$600 in weekly prizes
Every Saturday features a new slate of races and a new chance to win a betting bankroll in Countdown to the Cup. Simply select one horse in each race at the featured track. Points will be awarded based on a mythical $20 across the board bet. A cap limits the points you can earn on a single race. The caps are set at 600 points to win, 400 to place and 200 to show. The entry deadline is first post of the contest track. This week the contest track is Belmont so deadline is 12:30 pm. Entrants must be at least 18 years old and all entrants must have an MVP Rewards account which is free. Entry cards must be submitted by the entrant. Entering for another person that is not on site is bad form and is against the rules.
Accumulated Points: Prizes will be awarded for accumulated point totals at the conclusion of the tournament on Oct. 28. Each player’s lowest individual-day score will be subtracted from their six-day total to arrive at their final score. If a player should choose not to play in any of the six individual contests a score of zero will be awarded for each of those individual days.
Weekly Prizes:
$200 Breeders’ Cup Bankroll to 1st
($20 if minimum not met)
$100 Breeders’ Cup Bankroll to 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
($10 if minimum not met)
There is prize money for those that do not wager using their MVP Rewards card but for those that wager at least $20 on the contest date, full prize money is awarded. Wagers made at any track count toward the very low minimum but the MVP Rewards card must be used to track play.
Overall Prizes for Accumulated Points:
$300 Breeders’ Cup Bankroll to 1st – 5th
($100 if minimum not met)
