Each week, the Minnesota Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Agency, the organization that represents trainers, grooms and owners, honors a groom in a winner’s circle presentation.
This is the fifth consecutive year that trainer Tony Rengstorf has been in the Top Five of the trainers’ standings. Tony knows you need good horses to be this successful. But he also knows how very important his crew is to his success. Nowhere is this better evidenced than with Charlie Caballero, the Groom of the Week.
Tony says that Charlie has a natural touch with horses as well as a strong work ethic. Whenever something needs to be done, Charlie is there to do it. He also always seems to have a smile on his face, so Charlie is a pleasure to work with around the barn.
For all of this, Charlie Caballero is the Minnesota HBPA Groom of the Week.
