It was confirmed today by trainer Mac Robertson and owner Jerry Myers that Rebel Stakes winner Win Willy will run in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 2. Plans are to ship the son of Monarchos to Churchill near the end of the week.
Th trainer stated prior to the race that a top two finish in the Arkansas Derby was needed for Win Willy to aim at the Derby. He ran a fast closing fourth. The connections saw enough out of the late running colt to press onward to the first Saturday in May.
