On Thursday, Sept. 16, Canterbury Park is hosting the year’s biggest Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge qualifying contest of the year where 10 BCBC entries will be awarded as well as two National Horseplayer Championship entries and a minimum of $10,000 in cash. On Saturday, Sept. 11 is another $100 entry contest with a different format. Ten races from the simulcast schedule, likely to include races from Monmouth, Gulfstream and Arlington will be used and players are provided a $2,000 mythical bankroll and wager WPS, exacta and trifecta in those races. Winners are based on final mythical bankroll totals and again one $3,000 berth for each 30 entries will be awarded. One hundred percent of entry fees Sept. 11 are returned as prizes and cash.
