Major Autograph Expo Coming to Canterbury Park

Come check out the Minneapolis Sports Collectible Show and Autograph Convention, featuring appearances by Adam Thielen, Harrison Smith, & many more! Some of the biggest stars of sport will be on hand at Canterbury Park from March 23-25.

The Minneapolis Sports Collectible Show and Autograph Convention, presented by Cactus League Sports, will bring in stars from football, baseball, hockey and wrestling.

From Adam Thielen to Rod Carew and Baron Von Raschke, the event is sure to draw excitement from a range of sports fans. These sports stars and several others will be available to sign items and memorabilia, with on-site verification of signatures provided by James Spence Authentication.

George Johnson, president of Cactus League Sports, has been putting together these events for 30 years. With expos across the country, organizers generally look for a local angle when they call agents and marketing departments to try to secure athletes, he said.

Six Minnesota Vikings, coming off an NFC championship game appearance, are expected to attend.

“They had a great season,” Johnson said. “We’ve got a really good group.”

Other than finding athletes from the state where the convention will be held, Johnson said there’s another factor they consider when reaching out to sports figures.

“We look for hall of famers,” he said.
