No matter if you’re a casual racing fan or a serious horseplayer, the 2018 Breeders’ Cup has something for everyone.
Set for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3, the Breeders’ Cup World Championships and some of the sport’s best horses descend on Churchill Downs for a two-day racing spectacular. You can watch and wager on all the action at Canterbury Park, where the races will be simulcast live on hundreds of televisions throughout the building.
Each of the 14 Breeders’ Cup races this year features a purse over $1 million. Those perennially talented fields and big purses are part of the allure, according to handicapping expert Kevin Gorg.
“The neat thing is, you don’t need a huge bankroll to make a big bank score,” he says of the Breeders’ Cup. “You hit a trifecta or superfecta, you’re probably going to hit for thousands of dollars.”
Also, advance wagering will be available Thursday Nov. 1, at approximately noon for both Friday and Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup Cards.

Fun of the Breeders’ Cup
The Breeders’ Cup typically draws a large gathering of horse racing fans to the Racebook, according to Jeff Maday, media relations manager at Canterbury Park.
With so much nationwide interest in the Breeders’ Cup, there’s an opportunity to win big.
“The wagering pools are just massive,” Maday said. “There’s a real chance for someone to make a life-changing score.”
