Shakopee, January 31, 2019 –  A group of local investors announced today a brand new music festival coming to Canterbury Park July 18-20, 2019.

Twin Cities Summer Jam will be the only music festival in the Twin Cities and the Upper Midwest that combines music formats – rock, pop and country – for three days of great live music with major artists from around the country.

“We don’t listen to and enjoy just one genre of music; our personal playlists are all over the place,” said co-founder Chris Hawkey, “So why shouldn’t our live music experience be the same?”

Summer Jam will feature the umbrella genres of  rock, pop and country. Arena-level headliners from different music formats will be performing back to back, along with the most exciting emerging bands on a second stage.

Twin Cities Summer Jam is a partnership between local entrepreneur, Jerry Braam and radio host & musician, Chris Hawkey and Hawkey’s business partner, Sarah Jane. They forged an ownership group with Mark and Barb Anderson of Gull Dam Brewery and Peter Taunton, founder of Lift Brands including Snap Fitness. The group realized that Minnesota had everything except a major music festival. Twin Cities Summer Jam will elevate the music profile of the area across the U.S.

The full line-up of artists and tickets on sale date will be announced Feb. 21. Go to TCSummerJam.com to sign up for email to be notified first.

Canterbury Park will be transformed for Summer Jam with three full days of live music on two stages inside the 11 acres of infield. Additional unique features include:

• 10,000 free parking spaces
• RV Camping onsite with showers and bathrooms
• Dedicated “easy in-and-out” route for: drop off/pick up, app ride services, shuttle service, and reserved parking
• Golf cart shuttles between campsite, parking lots and the festival entrance
• Multiple ticket levels and VIP experiences with great views of the stage

Twin Cities Summer Jam is presented with great support from Mystic Lake, Bud Light, Bell Bank, iHeartMedia and Gray Duck Vodka.
