Each week the Minnesota Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Agency, the organization that represents trainers, grooms and owners, honors a groom in a winner’s circle presentation.
This week’s honoree is Aaron Rodriguez.
Back in 2009, Aaron Rodriguez walked into the Bernell Rhone barn looking for work. The Hall of Fame trainer hired him on the spot. Now, 14 years later, Bernell still counts on Aaron as one of his key people.
According to the veteran conditioner, Aaron is the first to arrive at the barn every morning and the last to leave every afternoon. Recently, the barn was short-staffed and Aaron immediately stepped up to take on extra duties.
In addition to his great reliability and work ethic, Aaron is also a natural around the horses.
