Canterbury Park’s live racing season concluded Sunday with the 17th renewal of the Minnesota Festival of Champions, a day exclusively for horses bred in Minnesota.
Bill and Al Ulwelling of Elk River, MN won the 2010 leading thoroughbred owner title at Canterbury Park. This is the first time the father, Bill, and son, Al, have been leading owners. They concluded the season with 20 wins and $194,310 in purse money. [Pictured Below: The Ulwellings]
The leading Thoroughbred trainer for 2010 was Mac Robertson, ending the meet with 51 wins out of 137 starts. [Pictured Below: Mac Robertson]
Finally, the leading Quarter Horse jockey for Canterbury Park’s 2010 meet, was Ry Eikleberry. He ended the meet with 18 wins. [Pictured Below: Ry Eikleberry]
