In 2012, Canterbury Park is proud to offer a new Claiming Series for $3,500 claimers. The 2012 Canterbury Claiming Sprint Series will consist of three weeks of qualifying races for Colts & Geldings and three weeks of qualifying races for Fillies & Mares. The series will conclude with a $25,000 Championship for Colts & Geldings and a $25,000 Championship for Fillies & Mares.

Horses will compete for points during the three qualifying races with the high point earners being eligible to compete in the $25,000 Claiming Series Finals. Claim prices of horses that perform well will escalate throughout the qualifying races.
Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the trainer whose horses earn the most points throughout the series and to the owner of the Minnesota-bred that earns the most points throughout the series.
