The Canterbury Park backside ranks among the finest in the country, offering a variety of services to horsemen. The stable area has 33 barns and 1,576 stalls. There are more than 200 dormitory rooms and ample shower facilities for the horsemen's convenience.
Both the dirt and turf surfaces were constructed with an emphasis on safety and consistency. The one-mile oval is composed of both natural soil and sand. The seven-furlong turf course includes a mixture of Kentucky bluegrass and rye over a native sandy topsoil.
Attention Horsemen: Canterbury Park is requiring that all horses be vaccinated for EHV-1 between 14 and 60 days prior to arrival on the grounds. This vaccination should be listed on the horse’s health certificate.
